Women’s Health at CHC

It is an interesting time in Women’s Health, indeed, and Cerner’s Women’s Health business unit is anxiously awaiting this year’s Cerner Health Conference to highlight what we and our clients have been up to in the past year. After last year’s introduction of things to come within this area in Neal’s keynote address, there will be big buzz around seeing how those futures have come to fruition.

Women’s Health events will kickoff prior to the CHC launch, with a pre-conference workshop Friday, October 2, for clients interested in learning more about preparing for PowerChart Maternity build.  This half-day session is a must for any clients considering this implementation in the short-term. Prior to the Solution Gallery reception, the annual Women’s Health SIG group will be meeting to get a preview of the educational track, as well as talk about some exciting new areas of development.

The education track this year is chock full of great content, with several sessions receiving CNE credits for participants.  Six different clients will be telling their stories, including UAB Medicine, who will be talking about their implementation of the new PowerChart Maternity and FetaLink solutions. Along with our clients, we also are excited to have a state of the industry session by the chairperson of the 2010 National AWHONN conference, Catherine Ivory, who will review meaningful use criteria and the relevance to Women’s Health.

Add to this our Women’s Health Smart Room on the gallery floor, and the excitement is almost too much to contain…hope to see you there.
